... the river still has lots of ice flow in it - amazing considering it is now May. Travelled thru some really pretty villages including Ellicotville which seems to be basically a ski resort - snow still on some runs, certainly not enough to ski on but good for tourist photos!

... visitor centre. It turned out that, unfortunately, Triposo had been feeling ill that day and was talking s*** when he told us about the festival. Hungry we took off for Plattsburgh. In Phyllisburgh we found a Mcdonalds that had $1 any size drinks and a Family Dollar with cheap lollies so we stocked up on sugar and headed to our next home on the road. Mother Nature and the good Lord were our tour guides. We were blessed with fantastic weather, no system failures (human or mechanical), and arrived home safely. And, we saw the raw and overpowering beauty of nature from spectacular mountains and plains to a nice assortment of animals in their natural habitat.
