... a home designed for babies and children (up to age 14ish) who are HIV + (and have other conditions). There are currently about 68 children living in this "orphanage." When I visited the orphanage for a few hours back in March most of my time that day was spent with the littlest ones in the orphanage....as well as a couple of older kids that have disabilities so severe that they are not sent to the classroom.
Well, this is it. Currently on my flight from Minneapolis to Seattle, and from there to arrive in Honolulu. This has been a long time coming and I can't believe that it has actually arrived. It has been about two months since the last time that I had blogged. The time has passed with finishing up work at Career Professionals and Rojo, spending lots of time with friends, visiting family, and of course the dreaded – packing!

... the ferry docks, they make all the passengers disembark. We see the father/son canoeists, who were picked up earlier in the day at Chippewa Harbor, and say hello. Ranger Cindy talks to Captain Mike, and passes him a shopping list. Then they let us board.
As the ferry pulls away, Ranger Cindy stands on the dock and waves goodbye to us.
And so ends our Isle Royale adventure.
