    We left Texas and headed to Louisiana. Weather has been really nice....sunny/warm and temps in the high 70's.

    On Monday 4/7, we took the ferry from Glaveston Island to The Boulivar Peninsula, TX. This is the fastest most southern coastal route. It was a beautiful day for this 20 minute ferry ride.     We've walked on the beach several mornings while here and, again, enjoyed getting our 10,000 steps in. These beaches are different from others we've seen -- darker sand and no shells. The locals told us all the beaches in this area are man-made -- in the 1960s a big dredging operation brought all of the sand in from out in the Gulf and covered up the marshy areas to make beaches.     ... to understand to those who have not experienced it, but their love is breathtaking. I know I will definitely be crying tears of joy when I get to actually see everyone in person and not just in my memories.

    While I'd love to spend my time until we leave remembering, there's packing, working, interning, rehearsing, and (if you're lucky like Beth) catching up with Mickey Mouse, that still has to be completed before we can leave.
