The trip from Moyra and Dave's, where
Cindy stored her car for the summer, to Wisconsin requires an
overnight stop; Bobbers Motel fits the bill and is just east of the
Soo. To overcome my typical two hour wait at the border, I left
earlier than Cindy the next morning. Guess what – with construction
by the border crossing, I got waved through once they ...

Got on the road jus after 7am this morning.. We were at the Sarnia boarder just before 10 o'clock and it was quiet busy so took us about 40 minutes to cross. (I have a St. Christopher medal clipped to my sun visor) So the deer in Michigan have no sense of time. Today I saw three deer along the highway in different places. The first ran across in front of us. I saw it soon enough to slow way down, so there was no excitement there. The second deer was just grazing along the shoulder ...

... its thoughts, “This is my road and I can do whatever I want here. I am going to take my time and will finish crossing the road when I want”. The porcupine would start to walk again but then stop and left its leg one more time. It did this 3-4 times before it finally got to the side of the road and we could pass. It was a hoot to watch and made it even funnier to come up with what it might be thinking.

We opted to camp at the more rustic, ...
