... him in English, we resort to a lot of makeshift sign language and laughs. Most random sight of the day...at the stop light along the way, there are 2 guys in the road selling phone chargers, like, "hey buddy, nice phone you have there, need a car charger for it??" WTF?

Our driver doesn't know where the hotel is so we drive down some interesting back roads trying to find it...don't like the way you're going on a 1 way in Istanbul? No problem, just let off the ...

... in every seat. I seriously had an extra 8"+ of leg room. So come to find out, its surprisingly hard to get into Canada, their border patrol/immigration folks are strict. Ate chicken tenders and fries in the airport. Thought about a Canadian beer, but said "eh, I can have one of those in Houston" so I passed.

Alarm bells started ringing, but I ignored them. Besides, Angela was already loading the bag into the back. "Can you give a rough price though?" I pressed.

The driver smiled. "Sorry. No! But it will be on meter. Please, get in. Come." We did, and as soon as we set off, the metre began going up like the clappers, finally stopping on fifty Lev (£17) as we pulled up outside our hotel. We'd been stitched up good and proper!
