We had a wonderful day with a morning visit to Richard's daughter, Amy, who has cerebral palsy and spends her work days at a wonderful facility called the Pieters Life Center. From there, we headed west on Route 90 traveling along the NY State Thruway, down Route 271 to the Ohio Route 80 interstate. Enough about roads.

Each student was introduced individually to the audience by the School Principal and then waited in team groups on the pitch in front of us. In Youngstown Ohio. 690 miles today another 11 hours in saddle. Chicago is just nasty period. I heard a poll before we left on trip that NJ was top state that if it went away no one would mind, I really think it should be Illlinois! The only thing is they have a Sweet Tomatoes!!!! ... adage "someone trash is someone else's treasure". On our way back from there, stopped in for lunch at a great little diner set up to look like a railway car with the additional features of a science straight out of a fifties diner. Excellent service and food too, as evidenced by the fact we had to wait in line for a table. The following night, Saturday, we enjoyed an outdoor barbecue dinner beside the pool. It's a pretty long drive from home to Youngstown; took us about 8 hours, including stops. Arrived in plenty of time to rest up a bit, though, before heading out to the ballgame.
