... the cathedral we visited the museum and then the grand arch (which was actually a huge shopping arcade). I can say huge with some satisfaction since there were binoculars set into the marbled floor at several intervals so that you could better look down the corridors of wealth and power. All the big names were here: Versace, Prado, Louis Vuitton..etc. For ***** and giggles we went into each of the above mentioned shops - way out of my price range - but its nice to ...

... in the town square, on the sides of roads and under hotels. All very charming.
After a morning coffee, we headed back to the hotel for lunch and a siesta. Later that afternoon we went for a walk about the streets near our hotel, and then ate a good Italian meal at a local restaurant. Off to Milan tomorrow and then Verona. Liking Italy more and ...

The riding in the area is very flat with some nice sections through towns and fields but we are always forced to turn onto main, busy and boring roads as we ...

... tucked into little alley ways. If it hadn't been for Rick Steves, we would never have found the place- or the shoes priced ‚670! Fiats, Vespas and bicycles everywhere, and now that it's commute hour, many are driven/ridden by men and women in business attire. FYI: free wifi complements of ...

... twisting along century old streets making a slow torturous path toward Bellagio. It narrows again and we encounter oncoming traffic and we squeeze through. This part of Italy is renowned for cycling and soon we see hardy, some may say foolhardy, souls riding nonchalantly as I sweat blood piloting our way north. Motorcycles zip in and out weaving as if by magic, missing cars, buildings, cyclists and each other I don't know how. We arrive at the half way mark and spy a park ...
