... had a sale on. We spent a few hours in there! Dinner tonight we ended up at Ruby Tuesday. Enjoyed a nice meal. Packed our stuff and now ready to leave for universal in Florida. Only have two nights at hard rock at universal to do the Harry Potter world ...

... it has been build with a huge blast proof base many stories high. Walk down to Battery Park for a trip out to Liberty and Ellis Island - queues were the order of the day again but nothing will be as bad as Empire State :-) tickets, security, the boat and then to get off the boat to Ellis and finally massive queues to get back on the boat, so bad in fact we decided not to get off at Ellis Island as ...

... at the memorial. We eventually hobbled there and collected our tickets. The memorial is where the old towers were, fountains are now in their place. The rest is underground and has bits and pieces from the wreckage. There are heaps of people in the place but everyone is very quiet. We left at 430 and it was dark when we surfaced, caught a cab and got home. We missed out on wall st and the charging bronze bull sadly, hoppy couldn't make it. Might put some pics up ...

... itself - the two enormous waterfall pools which stand in the Towers footprints , surrounded by the names of those who died - is so simple and serene, but absolutely perfect. Such a fitting tribute. These pools now bask in the shadow of the gigantic Freedom Tower, the reaches a dizzying height into the sky defiantly. Sam and Dave also went through the 9/11 Museum (it was inappropriate for Amy) which was brilliantly put together. For such a tragedy ...
