... and continued walking the area back to the Woolworth building. We then enjoyed a fascinating tour of the lower levels of the building. It's generally closed to the public, do we were treated to some rarely seen areas, which were pretty cool. bob enthralled the group with his knowledge of the history of the building and the personalities involved in building it and making sure it remains in place today. ... parts of living during this time. It was fascinating. I did the 'Hard Times' tour which told the story on a German family who lived there in the 1860s and an Italian family who lived in the building in the 1920s.

In the 1860s there was no running water, electricity or internal toilets. All 'tenements' were small 29 sq m 3 room flats with windows only to one room (no ventilation in the kitchen or bedroom) The ...

... Avenue, to see if we could find where Arnah works, just so we know where it is. We walked on and on and eventually found 292 and then 300. But not 296 ?! There was heap of scaffolding out the front in that area. So I Googled it on my mobile phone, and found that the address is actually 269!! It turned out to be Liberty Travel and we saw the Flight Centre desk and so now we know it's next door to Mulligans pub. When we got back to ...
