... a final dirt road only to find the road gated/locked. OOPS. So D pulled out the laptop – using my saved directions. But those directions did not take us on ANY of the roads that we were just traveling on. We inputted the cross streets of the final “intersection” but my GPS didn’t find that either. D had brought along her GPS too, so she was able to find the intersection. So we were on our way again. Driving ...

A Couple Of Relaxing Days Enjoying The Capital

The last couple of days we felt like slowing our motors down a little. Yesterday we went into the State of Oregon's capital, Salem. We did that again this morning.

But that's the beauty of a day where no one is expecting you at any specific time.

Even though I was not on the coast, I really enjoyed what ...

We got up this morning and went about as usual. We all went to pick up Jack from VBS, and left directly for the coast afterwards. We ate at Mo's, whitch was delicious, as always. Then, we went to Nye Beach to play in the ocean. We also made a detour to this awesome playground. It had all sorts of spinny rides, and a 40 ft. slide! We all went to Dory Cove for supper. That was yummy, too. We drove home, and went to ...

Training Update

Walked six miles today!! In my new boots...only had a small issue, when a stick found it's way into my boot about mile four. I soldiered on and was able to shake it to a location in my boot where it didn't bother me.

I used Run Tracker for the first time. It tells me every five minutes how far I have gone and what my pace is. While I'm working for distance rather than speed, I still find myself competing ...
