Today began a new adventure for me....I left Pensacola this morning and am currently at the Atlanta airport waiting for my flight to Washington DC. From DC I'll go to London, then after a 13 hr layover I'll head to Johannesburg and finally I take a small flight to Gaborone, my final destination. At the University of Botswana, I'll be studying public health with my classes focusing on the issues in Botswana and I'll also be taking a ...

... mine, and you said. They had some street talk and we moved on. Sad and a little scary. I guess we weren't going to be rolled by these guys who make a living out of people like this. Beggars in the city are all on a warning system. One stuff up and the Atlanta police department just picks them all up. true story. They are proud of their reputation, and they love tourists. We left Atlanta and headed on the main interstate south. We'd travelled what seemed like 20km and the ...

... all the planning, the trip turned out to be really different from what I expected, and in such a good way. It still felt spontaneous and we did have to go with "Plan B" a lot. Things I thought we would love were just okay and vice versa. I also didn't want to just be in a hotel room every night, and I think we would've missed out on so much if we had. Being in a tent or cabin was something different... We like camping anyway, ...
