While listening to my most favorite song at the moment (Turtle, by Alana Davis), I've realized my trip has BEGUN!!!! It wasn't real until now. I'm sitting at my seat on my way to JFK airport, waiting for my dinner, and I don't really have much to say except that my excitement is finally here. No worrying, no doubting, just excitement. That's all for now. Sorry if you found this post boring, but sometimes you just gotta gloat. Love you ...

... what the bus was? She said it is the true story of "Into The Wild" & some guy died on this old abandoned bus.

Landed at 6:30am, called Austin to come pick us up & by 8:30am we're in bed sound to sleep for the day. It is now Saturday & I'm still experiencing jet lag, came down with a horrible cold & just starting to feel human.

Oh, and I made a dumb boo-boo in a previous blog. I referred to Alaska as the 50th state, da, it's the 49th.

Delta cancelled that flight and we're now scheduled to leave at 9:45pm. Otherwise, today's travel has been long but uneventful . . .picked up at 8:30 for the 40min drive ...

... start, we ended up heading out to Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.
The last time that I was at Callaway gardens I was probably 4 or 5. We still have pictures sitting in the butterfly garden and walking around Callaway's huge property. I had such a great time reliving old memories with my Mom as well as making new ones. I was also able to stop by the Butterfly Garden's gift shop to pick up some little trinkets for my future host siblings. I have no idea ...
