    the Amish community has contributed considerably to the worlds information on genetic disease, they stop short of saying they inter marry, but is close. They are constantly studied and happy to be. Quite amazing. I love their philosophy of nothing to increase their slow pace, I may have to re think being French and become Amish, is such a slow steady pace in life, kids don't go to school after ...

    I have never visited the Finger Lakes area, though I have heard the name pop up at various points in my lifetime. So, with a few extra bucks earned from mowing the lawn for a neighbor (yes, kids, even we old guys will mow lawns for a few extra bucks!), I thought I'd dust off the camera, hop on the motorcycle, and spend a couple days on the road.

    Hmmm.... have I stumbled on some sort of suburban utopia where people of all classes and backgrounds have finally figured out how to all get along and everybody respects the law? I don't know that it's as perfect as this lady is painting it--but it is clear that this is a place where the town citizens take an active role in keeping their town a good, caring, safe place.

    But if people do create a "perfect" suburb, won't that make house prices skyrocket ...
