... s best I go to the ER of the local hospital and they called the ambulance to bring me in. We grabbed a quick bite of breakfast. The ambulance arrived shortly before 9. And I had my first experience riding in a stretcher in the ambulance. Good that they did not do the siren!

We arrived at the ER of Lower Keys Medical Center around 10am. For the next 3+ hours, they took my blood (5 or 6 tubes), did the heart echo, ultrasound of my neck blood vessels, and a head ...

In any case, getting the bikes out and the bags to reception, meant that I was already a lather of sweat. We taxied to Hemmingway's house and spent a good hour there. This was really interesting. ... and stamps from my travels, is fat and tattered and usually prompts a second look from Border Patrol officials.

I’ve no special plan in Key South other than bringing my laptop and catching up on the world via some free Wi-Fi. That turns out to be more difficult than you might imagine. Bar after Bar has no Wi-Fi. Ready to give up, I see VinoS Wine Shop and Bar at 810 Duval, a lovely little wine bar. Inside, I see a bottle of B-Side, ...

We made it to Pepe's Cafe this morning for breakfast. Food was yummy, and the atmosphere great. We will definitely come back on our next trip to the Keys. After we ate we did a driving tour of the island to see the parts we can't walk to. We even drove by the high school, just in case they have an opening, we'll know where we are applying! Today was by far the most beautiful day we've had this week. The sky was blue with fluffy ...
