How can this place call itself a town. Sure they have a two "hotels", two restaurants and a store but there are no houses. There is a gas pump. But from the airport terminal door you can see the whole town including the little cabin we're in, all the worse for wear with no hot water, right in the center of things. She suggested that we might want to take a taxi over to Naknek on ...

So far on the menu of free dinners has included but is not limited to; King salmon steaks, Sockeye, Moose roast, fiddle heads (baby ferns), Dolly Varden (think baby salmon eating trout), and my new extremely guilty pleasure baby Beluga. Yes that's right, not only are you allowed to ...

I finally made it to Alaska! Last Friday I meet with the HR department who told me they did NOT have any spots left on the boats due to too many returning employees from last year. But, they said they had another position that they thought would be "perfect" for me...working the docks with a crew they called the "Beach Gang." Needless to say I was pretty disappointed after waiting for ...
