... just about wore us out! But it was a great afternoon experience, and the weather was beautiful (around 80 degrees). Then drove on to our stopping spot for the night (London, KY), and had dinner at a local restaurant. We had some of the local fare...fried catfish, fried okra, sweet potato fries!! All delicious! Kentucky has 52 State Parks, covering almost 900,000 acres of National forests and the State trail now boasts 16 championship 18 hole golf courses. We are very fortunate to be staying on one of those courses, where this weekend a 2 day tournament is taking place (1st prize $10,000)…golf Pro’s all here to try for the big prize. Heading North our 4 hour journey had us in Delaware, Ohio- a quaint small town founded in 1808- full of art and antique shops with their architecture influenced by Italian and Greek design; all built in the early 1800's.Large old tree lined streets with 3 and 4 story homes dating back to the same era.
The "Little Brown Jug" horse race day, brings the whole town to a halt as most shops close ...

... tennis bat and as it broke off the handle it knocked my hat off my head, hit me in the face and I fell into the six inches of water. For those of you worried about my safety, no cuts or bruises. Just a drenched hat and battered ego. South Carolina is famous for its farming, but given that we paid $7 for two tomatoes and a bag of potatoes it will be our last contribution to the South Carolina agricultural community.

... play some catch. Jodi of corse took pictures. By 3:00 pm, we were ready to just stop and get out of the car. We decided we would head for London, Kentucky for the night.
