... driving on these very narrow and windy roads with Marie getting very agitated and constantly telling me to get over to the left. At one stage I ran over a big tree root that projected into the road so that made it worse. Eventually we emerged onto State street only a few blocks from our hotel. ... a heirloom tomato salad and pork shank. The waiter also suggested this wonderful bottle of Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County. Everything was delicious! Needless to say we walked out of the restaurant wishing we were wearing elastic waist pants.

Tomorrow we are off to Carmel via Big Sur. I can't wait to get some pictures. I hope Amir doesn't get annoyed pulling off to the side of the road every 5 miles or so!

... the whole time we were there!

We stayed in Santa Barbara for the evening and went out for sushi, we had the biggest boat of sushi, (yes boat) I have ever seen in my life - it was seriously enough for about 10 people! We carried on to Monteray and I have to say this was one of my favourite stops.
