... to the pier. Big wide handlebars and braking by peddling backwards! Great fun. We got to the pier which is wooden but big enough to allow cars on which park at the end just past the shops and restaurants. We went all the way to the end and were rewarded with seeing a Pelican. It was was just sitting there looking at us. Mike got some close ups on his iPhone and seemed mesmerised by him. We cycled back down the pier and caught up with the girls at the hotel. I ...

... including the Governor's suite and the Presidential suite complete with a secret room. The suites were unbelievably old west and looked great - the door to the secret room was a library case which sprang open with a flick of something! After 6 different flights over 16 days and 23,940 miles travelled the vacation is over and we are back to the reality of going back to work.... UGH.

When I first arrived in Los Angeles, I felt lost, being left all by myself in this big city of 4 millon people but I found my way in the airport and at the bus stop.
