And so after a long flight - 12+ hours - we arrived in Paris, grabbed a quick drink and then on to Birmingham. Unfortunately, Pat's suitcase decided to stop off in Paris but will hopefully be delivered tomorrow! Back to a sunny UK, with a temperature not much cooler than Hanoi yesterday, where the blossom is in full swing. Lots of memories of a lovely holiday. ...

It was very dark and wet when we woke up to the alarm. Leanne arrived as planned and drove us to the airport. Unfortunately, as we left the M6 there was a huge tail back where we needed to go, presumably due to an accident.. We sat in it for a while, moving 100yds in 10 mins. As we walked through ...

As it was directly in front I put the engine in neutral to avoid a collision and to my relief it pulled back in again. Put engine in gear again and we began to move forward and the same boat that started to pull out before came out again a little way ahead of us. OK so that happens sometimes. The boat in front was a day boat, much smaller ...

Looking over pictures of the past few days, random thoughts and memories spring to mind...

The morning we were to leave Chicago, Brandon and I wanted to see the city on St. Patrick's Day before we left. Rather than take the long train ride in, we grabbed a taxi at the hotel to go to at least see the Sears Tower and maybe go up to the skydeck. Enter Elvis the Albanian cab driver. He seemed surprised that ...
