Lazy Sunday at Newstead Abbey
... waterfalls, hedges, peacocks and Alex (Ahem!). After the cheap walk in the park we promptly headed to the nearest pub to satisfy Alex's insatiable appetite. Think the gut busting triple meat roast dinner did the trick. All in all the cheap walk around the park tallied up to around £50 including entrance, petrol, tea and lunch...not so cheap but definitely cheerful! ...
I'M LEAVING ON A JET PLANE
... But I'm always like this with last minute nerves. I know that once we set off I'll be beyond excited at the thought of seeing Vinnie again and spending time in the country that he has come to love. It will be great to be spending time quality time with my lovely grandaughter and two great grandaughters too. Even the thought of it is making me smile!
Roll on tomorrow. It can't come soon enough.
