Another 'first week in July', another Godiva Festival. This was looking like a good one. I’d taken the day off to do some messing about and to get checked in to the Days Hotel before meeting Julie at the station. We’d been keeping an eye on the weather all week and it looked likely that there would be some rain but hopefully not loads. We had two nights in Coventry, just outside town and had a lovely walk into town. Most of the outer city walkways are underpasses which make it easy, scattered gardens and planters line the streets, statues, waterways and lots of seats. Had a great Tripadvisor rated Chinese meal on the first night and were the only non Chinese in the place. The town centre is very open, but quite dirty, with lots of teens walking the streets.
