    Though I had to admire Kathleen's bright yellow and lime spotted green jumper AND it turns out she's 81! Amazing lady.

    I'm going to have to make some pretty serious changes to my lifestyle patterns though if I'm not to disgrace my country and be caught out as a Group One colonial PLEB!

    Well, none of that came to pass.

    As the very hour that I was beavering away at the library computer, Pickfords had lifted their game and were delivering our boxes to a very much-relieved Rick and neighbours.

    By the time I got home (in a hail storm), Richard had already unpacked half of them, neatly folded the wrapping paper and the sky was beginning to brighten--as were our spirits.

    Today is our first day off since arriving in England. The weather isn't great today, but we managed a walk to the city centre of Coventry. The most interesting sight was St. Michael's Cathedral, which is over 900 years old. This cathedral was bombed during WW2 by the Germans & only a shell of the original structure remains. ...
