    ... pounds of lobster a year! Now that's a lot of claws and tails! Bet the butter industry loves Maine. Saw a lot of seals, private islands owned by rich people and lots of pretty boats.     ... visited 7 states and one Canadian province. The Lakes & Lobsters group had 248 people and 177 motorcycles. I'm proud to be able to say we accomplished all this and made some amazing friends along the way.

    ... After a lazy day at home, we ventured to the Allagash Brewery for a tour and tasting of their handcrafted beers. Started in 1995 (in a garage, no less!) the brewery specializes in Belgian-style beer, with Allagash White being its flagship beer. The brewery produces seasonal beers and occasional one-offs created by their team of brewmeisters.

    ... but not quiet. And we left wanting more and so we had a second lunch lobster roll at a cozy lobster shack on a pier near Ogunquit. And it was really good, too. We wanted more, but they would have to wait for another day.

    This morning our intention was to check out Portland. We wandered down to the 'old town' which wasn't really an old town but VERY like Port Adelaide! It was cold - about minus 7 - so we were going into many shops just to warm up! When I saw a cheese shop that had samples it was like a dream!! The cheese was all made in Vermont and was delicious.
