Had breakfast at down stairs restaurant again (this is included in our room price). After breakfast we packed our bags and caught a taxi to the airport. We got dropped at Avis and picked up our hire car. From The hire car we drove to a nordstrom rack which was not far away before heading on the San Marcos premium ...

... six weeks in one suitcase. The tip of S. America is pretty close to Anarctica! I didn't rise to the challenge (and neither did Don). We both ended up packing a second small suitcase, all jammed to the brim. Plus Don has his camera case backpack, and I have a small wheeled carry-on with important stuff like meds, reading ...

After the end of their show it is time for the main act. "The Cure". They play 2 full hours and their show is amazing.

For the last 20 minutes the rain starts dripping and I try to protect myself a little bit with my slight rain coat. They are in the middle of their last song "Boys don't cry" - what an awesome song, when the clock says 10 p.m and wummmm, suddenly ...

We spent the day walking around the street market, eating alligator, drinking margaritas and listening to all the different live music on 6th street. The Texas Toot was a real shot in the arm for both of us. A great way to start the summer off, experiencing new (old) music, instruments, and people.
