... uneventful, spent tarmac treading between Carleen and Rame Farm, unfortunately to try and achieve a south/north direction (which is our goal), it is not always possible to use footpaths. During the route we passed through several typical Cornish hamlets and surpisingly many had covered bus shelters, which were very welcome for several pitstops due to the inclement weather.

... Jessica lived!! And so far I'm all about visiting friends!! Needing that to give me some reason to go somewhere! My visit with Jessica, and her roommates was awesome! I enjoyed their hospitality immensely and the Sunday before I left, Jessica and I cooked everyone a Sunday roast. Apparently it is a tradition in England. It turned out really well. Though I can only take credit for chopping! That's my limit of expertise in the kitchen. Where was I? Oh yeah, so yeah ...Land's End. It ...

... coming along!

- 1.5 hours later, I ride my fully loaded bike down a single track short cut to the river pathway and then on to the train station.

- Get to the train station so on time that I jump on the wrong train!!

- Train staff were very helpful getting my bike on the train though neglected to check the ticket!

- Luckily train was headed in the right direction so I got off at the next station ...with my four panniers, 2 ...

The building became a Post Office during the 1870's but closed in 1878, thus becoming 'The Old Post Office'. It was fascinating to walk through the rooms and capture the feel of the place. Many old sayings have been attributed to the way of life that existed here.- e.g. 'left on the shelf'- this refers to a platform at the top ...
