I'm not really a morning person, so unless I have to be somewhere pressing, I like to take my time. This morning is one such morning. After an ok night's sleep (the bed was a little harder than I first realized) I coaxed hot water out of my low pressure shower, washed, dressed, and walked next door to the Lafayette Restaurant. There are many stairs, as well as several bridges and tunnels to make the walk especially interesting. There's no shortage of opportunities to capture interesting photographs. Admission to the park was $8 but it also allowed entry to any of the New York state parks for a few ...

... uneventful highway driving but it was strange to see the trees in Vermont beginning to turn color. With the early evenings arriving, I guess leaf peeping won't be far away. 420 miles later, we've arrived in West Bloomfield, NY not far from Rochester.
