We are home, refrig is empty, grass needs mowing but house is perfect thanks to a great house sitter over the past 4 and a half weeks.
Traveled 5838 miles averaged 33.3 MPG. Saw gas prices as low as $1.96 and as high as $2.79 in good old NYS. Our 2 year old Subaru now has over 50,000 miles on it!

Quick jaunt into Woodstock--"quick" being the operative word here. We found a supposedly dog-friendly spot online (Bringfido.com) but was told upon arrival that only service dogs were allowed. We are currently sitting outside as I write this: a glass of wine at my right, the sun setting, the wind whistling through the air and each of us with a dog in our laps. Ah, contentment. After lunch we drove to a nearby river and hired kayaks. It was a glorious warm and sunny day and we had a great time on the water.
