    ... places in both Liguria and Tuscany, spending a lot of time with old friends and making perhaps two new ones as well. We stayed at a new hotel, du Lac, at our favorite town on Lake Como, and now believe that it is very important for us to use part of our trips to Italy relaxing by Lake Como.

    We have had a wonderful time in Hurley and it is a little bitter sweet as we pack up to leave. It has been wonderful to be close to family for some more visits--including a great Thanksgiving dinner. We have enjoyed our time with new friends and the time on the farm too. What a treat is has been to live here for a moment, learning some of Kevin's family history and making new memories in this special place. ...

    Today Kevin and I spent some time out in the garden putting it to bed for the winter. Grandpa Kaufman’s garden is quite lovely and big and when we arrived it was planted with a variety of greens and lots of squash, turnips and carrots. What a treat to have a supply of fresh veggies and special to think of Grandpa planting them.     ... way to visit and connect with family, and to get a glimpse of what his late Grandparents' lives were like. It also has been a wonderful opportunity to relax and rest.
