        ... Jersey they love to put No Turn on Red signs half a block before the intersection rather than next to the signal where you can see them as you might be contemplating such a turn.         ... Oz) Notably, we had a Di Faros pizza for lunch, the guy has been in brooklyn since 1965 and has one best pizza in NYC every year for years. He still does the dough himself, makes every pizza, you have to queue for as long as it takes then basically wait 45 mins for your pie. It was really good pizza. Ended the day with a nice salmon dinner at home. Nick cave concert in the park tonight and getting ready for the cook out that the Speed's are hosting ...

        ... drive this thing. Pretend I've never driven before"- because quite frankly this is how I felt! I drove out the exit the long way wrong so that I could make the mistakes in the parking lot before I was on the road. As I pulled up to the junction my foot was looking for the clutch, but I got he hang of it quite quickly. I then drove to the supermarket, with the aid of my satnav, until it stopped working on the way home, but I managed to work it out and got back ok. ...

        ... for myself. I went right up to the seventh floor, and loved how the escalators on the upper floors were still the old wooden type . Fun!

        Just up the street a bit is the Empire State Building - it wasn't raining, so we could walk there.
        We didn't intend to go to the observation deck, as we'd already been to the Top of the Rock, but we did want to see the foyer. As we walked in the door I gasped at the beautiful Art Deco-ness of it all!
