... board/card games, toss a frisbee, watch some tv and hang out. In the evening I either was suffering from terrible allergies to his cat, or coming down with a slight cold, because I couldn't stop sneezing/ runny nose and had to take NyQuil to fall asleep! ... instead there was one main walking street and a town that looked like any other. It wasn't Rachael's first visit here and she admitted to me later on that she didn't click with Burlington and was trying to see it again without judgement but felt that the place was soulless (harsh but true) . ... the steam train arrive back at the base station. They design and build their locomotives on site.

It was interesting to observe other sightseers. Some were prepared to wait in a line to take a picture of the cairn marking the top of Mt Washington. I settled with taking a photo of it while others were getting themselves organised to be photographed. There were better views to be had than standing beside a timber sign.

... into Fryeburg, ME and check out lodging options. Maura choppered ahead and made arrangements to stay at a deserted campground several miles west of town. We set up the Kelty within sight of the slow moving Saco River.
The empty campground gave us an eerie, kinda uncomfortable feeling, but we had a good night's sleep for $30.
