    ... Christian and I remembered that this was the bull’s eye for Hurricane Katrina and also the home of the family of ABC’s Robin Roberts. She had all the viewers of Good Morning America praying for her aging mother after the hurricane hit. I remember it well. And in Pass Christian there were a few parking spaces in occasional areas, and there was a public beach with a limited sized parking lot and a pier.

    ... friends, and the service reflects this leisurely pace. Despite being summer, the place was full, and we enjoy watching the crowd as we sip on our last Cuban coffees.

    It was great to see the places in Marcus’s stories and a good introduction tour of a college campus for the kids…I can’t believe in 5-6 years we’ll be looking at college campuses with Maxwell for real! On to Fort Walton Beach next. ...

    ... off with peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Man, I was stuffed. Cheryl was ready for dessert too, no choices at Sonny's though.

    We took a walk around the area to see what we could see and Cheryl spotted the Golden Arches nearby. A hot fudge sundae was in order so we headed there. No gluten in that stuff.

    After that we headed back and stopped back at Sonny's BBQ to listen to a trio who was playing Country music ...

    ... nice gazebo with a picnic table to enjoy! We discovered why the park was given its name. They had magnificent 300 year old oak trees for which I have taken a pic for you. Moss covered the limbs and draped the tree limbs in all their glory. Took a pic for your viewing enjoyment. Gail and I had the pleasure of doing our laundry in our rigs as we both have them in our rv's (charmed life) and of course partook in a happy hour drink. We had a wonderful homemade ...

    ... to it, it was secure when we left Mobile. So we just rolled the cover up and secured it with the proper fasteners. Guess we'll have to make a trip to LOWES or Home Depot to replace the pin. Also while there called the Tallahassee RV Park and made a reservation for tonight. That leaves us about 250 miles to travel tomorrow, then we're settled for 5 nights. I really love going places, but the riding sure can make one tired.
