    Waste of time!

... noon. (Needed to be in Columbus, OH by Wednesday and didn't want to hurry). Started out of CW - What the Heck! Loud cracking popping scraping noises from behind me. Thought we had a cabinet falling off. Entry steps vibrating at every bump! Did a U-turn, back to CW, and gave it back to them! Told we had to take it to the factory in Iowa to get the slide fixed. Nope! ...

Stopped at Tallahassee Camping World to look at a new Itasca Ellipse. There are several upgrades to this model that would be nice. Negotiated a great deal, decided we should go ahead and do it. It's only $$, and we spend 5 months a year doing this. Techs found a leak in the water line going to the refrigerator, so we went to Big Oak RV Park on their recommendation. Not the best decision. It was ok, lots of permanents, roads narrow.

We spent a very fast paced 3 days with our grandsons. We took them for the day on Sunday and anyone that has ever kept 3 little boys, 8, 7 and 6, know that is a tiring:)

We took them back to the camper for lunch and over to see the light house on St. Marks. There is a little hiking trail that the boys enjoyed. Overall a great visit. Also our oldest just got a house and we helped by keeping the boys away so they could paint the day away.

... We hit the road after the Capital tour and headed to our first overnite, Falling Waters State Park. Recent rains had ditches full of water, we wondered how the campground must look like. Luckily for us, the campsite was high and dry, we hooked up all the utilities, put out the slides, turned on the air-conditioning..... and simply enjoyed our first quiet evening in the RV for this summer.

    Pensacola to Tallahassee

... was setting, I was driving right next to the coast and it was a really nice setting. Pity I didn't have time to stop. I arrived in Tallahassee after dark and found my Super 8 hotel. I had to drive though the Main Street of town to get there, and it looked like an interesting town, with those big wide trees with the like noodle like air plants hanging off them like you see in typical images of the south. The super 8 hotel chain is considered a really cheap ...
