The Size of a Cow
... Spring is in full swing and daily walks reveal fields that previously had lots of big fat sheep now containing smaller big sheep and lots of little ones, all matched by numbers. The noise has to be heard to be believed, and the antics are quite entertaining. It is clear that they don't rule the world for a reason - on one walk we came across a lamb that had got under a gate and ...
The End of Offa's Dyke Path
We probably had the largest (and most delicious) full "Welsh" breakfast this morning, with a tasty black pudding from the local butcher and potato scones. We shared the table with a group of 5 English guys who had been there a week attempting to glide close to Snowdonia, but due to the good weather did not have the correct winds.

... Argh!
Another item in the mix is the 'Mid-Wales Connection' - the frankly bonkers plan to put a giant windfarm in the middle of Wales in an area with no National Grid connection, and in a climate where there is no wind when it is cold and the power demand is greatest. Apart from the local destruction, this will mean stringing a run of pylons across Wales and Shropshire to connect with the main power line. There are two possible sites for a ...
