    ... were running super late to do that. The bulk of the drive back to PA was all highway and we ended up choosing a toll road unknowingly but we finally made it to pick Jym up about an hour late. Thus ending our leaf peeping journey. I was so glad I got to make this trip with mom again and to have been in New England when the leaves were at peak was really an experience I will never forget. ...

    ... than what we had planned. We had pulled over at some smaller falls and another car stopped and asked us if we knew where Moss Glen Falls was. We did not. Although the small picnic area we had stopped at was quite lovely. We did find Moss Glen up the road a ways and it was an easy view right off the highway. We then took Rt 125 across the Green Mountain National Forest where we again happened upon Texas Falls…another waterfall that was unexpected but well ...

    Stopping in the town of Keene, NY we stop at the ADK Market and its nearby sister store the ADK Café where we score some awesome cinnamon sugar donuts, molasses sugar cookies and a picnic lunch that later proved to be amazing. Despite the fact that ADK is the airport code for Adak Island, Alaska, we note that ADK is used everywhere to indicate the Adirondacks.

    We have been in Ballston Spa since August 10 and having a wonderful time. The kids are just delightful. The schedule here is busy and we fall into bed at our usual 9:00 many nights earlier than that. We plan to leave on Sept 8th. Everyone is back in school by then and the nights are getting colder.     After the hike we went to a bead shop in Glens Fall. The shop was in a very big building that had been a shirt and dress factory back, McMullen and Leavens Shirt Factory.
