... meet the owner of the flat, who let us in, explained how things worked, gave us tea and travel suggestions (where to eat, where to buy phone SIM cards, etc.) and departed.

Defeating jet lag also requires staying awake until normal bedtime in the arrival time zone, so after unpacking we ventured out to buy SIM cards and have a very nice dinner (Carluccio’s in the Brunswick mall).

Just after 9 pm I took my sleep aid and was unconscious within minutes.

... and chips for lunch, apparently a very British thing to do. Cindy and Wikus had Subway instead, but joined us in the lovely underground diner. The fish and chips were delicious, very well battered and very crisply fried. The tomato 'ketchup' almost tasted like real tomatoes. We caught the ferry back down the river, heading for Trafalgar Square.

07.02.2011- I return to London to do a few bits of last minute shopping and frantically race against time to get all my leaving presents for my friends made on time before my farewell dinner with them and guess what we had for dinner?
