    We had a beautiful warm summer day to do a 50 mile cruise down a section of the Hudson River. The Catskill Mountains were in our western view most of the way. We took on about 120 gallons of Valvtech Diesel about halfway. While swimming in the refreshing pool we met a nice couple on the Rainbow Connection from Coxackie NY. They brought us fresh made brownies and pleasant conversation after dinner. ...

    ... You can easily spend the day. Saw huge Vanderbilt mansion driving on to Salem witch museum. Long 4 hour drive. Boston tomorrow! LJ

    FDR's home and presidential library had numerous unique artifacts relating to the Roosevelt's life; that were well presented, and very extraordinary. I hope to return some day and see the rest of the interesting buildings on the Roosevelt estate. PJ

    Left Croton on Hudson at 10:00 AM. Kathy, Kevin and Cheryl went up the river while Paul took Kathy's car and drove to Kingston. On the river we passed some beautiful homes and landscapes.     ... places in both Liguria and Tuscany, spending a lot of time with old friends and making perhaps two new ones as well. We stayed at a new hotel, du Lac, at our favorite town on Lake Como, and now believe that it is very important for us to use part of our trips to Italy relaxing by Lake Como.

    ... We begin by flying into Milan Airport called Malpensa, which is actually about 40 minutes to the northwest of the city. We will rent a car (already reserved) and drive to the area of the Southern Italian Riviera known as Cinque Terre staying in the town of Monterosso al Mare.
