... had nothing to do really, I walked in the garden, saw the raspberry bushes, a lovely tree house, a little pond with fish, the lawn where the dogs love to play around... A little paradise!

I so much enjoyed to be part of a family, everybody around the breakfast table in the morning, the funny Corki dogs, the cat that comes to sleep on my bed, and seeing my old friend Phil after so many years.

Tomorrow I take my Amtrak train to Montreal, next visit!

We did still stop at Lock One Marina for diesel, and he filled us up so quickly we were even still able to make it through Lock 1 with the other sailboat Callipyge we had been traveling ...

... music festival. This festival attracts a wide range of contemporary musicians and singers to the area.

The Berkshires are located at the very Western end of Massachusetts. This area was amazingly green, hilly and heavily wooded. You could see that "Fall" was on its way, with the occasional glimpse of colour change in a few trees. It was clear that the area would be beautiful in full Autumn colour.

Lively conversation at breakfast – two college friends and their spouses and young children from Philadelphia and Brooklyn – the college friends graduated from Cooper Union Art - who knew that our Army still has artists on the front lines of our wars – some sketch and then paint, some photograph. Well Stephanie co-curated an exhibition of their work – and she told about their efforts ...
