... the Roosevelt property is the Vanderbilt Mansion. The home, used only for a few weeks in the Spring & Fall, belonged to Frederick William Vanderbilt; grandson of the Commodore. Built in a grand scale with classical ornamentation, it is completely different from the home of the Roosevelt's. It too, is owned by the National Park service and tours are given several times a day.

A Mast Catastrophe Averted
... than taking the mast down, and we got a little reprieve from the physical labor not to mention the panic that was involved the previous day. (We so easily could have dropped our mast in the water when we nearly left without it… Ooops. I can't help but chuckle to myself while envisioning what anyone watching us would have witnessed. Ny day 17
This morning we slowly crawled through Albany. It was slow navigating, with sidewalks and construction. Our only stop was at Bruegger's Bagels to pick up some bagels for lunch. We are now in Castleton-on-Hudson, where we are stopping for lunch. Portland Moenings Maybe that J Austin group is big enough to afford an editor. I bet they could get that P&P book cut in half. De Charleston à New York‚ Lady Faye en a vu des choses! L´Intracoastal est un grand étendu d’eau qui longe les côtes. Il est fréquent d’avoir peu de vent et de rencontrer beaucoup de bateau de plaisance.
De petites villes à découvrir avec beaucoup d´histoire. Plusieurs d’entre elles sont des incontournables pour le ravitaillement et le lavage…car la vie continue!!! Des rencontres et des découvertes ...
