Day 49. Vermont The first stop today was Fort Adams - not that was saw a great deal of the fort. It was bucketing down, windy and so cold, the walk to the visitors centre was enough to send us back to the warmth of our car. July 30th – day 87
For $8 per person you can hire paddle
boats for half an hour, swim unlimited at the Aqua pool (heated pool,
waterslide and jacuzzi) and have a round of mini golf. After twenty
minutes on the paddle boats, our legs were all sore. Plus it was a
little warm to be doing that much exercise so we headed to the pool
for a few hours. There was a karate class going on in the pool ...

Don't need any last minute headaches, but of course my car is not cooperating. I was planning to put off my 15,000-mile service until after vacation, but noticed a problem last week and decided to take it in this week (appt on Wed).

Pete took us home via the scenic route so we could admire some of Boston's sights. Last time I was in Boston was before the Big Dig, so the city looks very different with all the overhead, double and triple decker roads removed. A lot of the newly created above-ground space has been given over to public walkways and parks.
