Nice motel - glad it's brick because there is a MAJOR storm coming through this area tonight!
Got an alarm on my iPad that there was smoke in my condo, so spent the better part of the afternoon trying to get in touch with neighbors every time we stopped, Using on of the other rider's cell phones! Not fun!
... the beach and put their feet in the 52 degree Lake Michigan. This was their second lake of their Great Lakes experience.
In the afternoon, we rented two more kayaks and we all cruised 6 miles down the Pere Marquette River. Dinner at the RV, we later had a campfire and S’mores. It stays light here till 10:00 PM!
A perfect day? You bet!

... decision… they only had 280 kids at their Halloween party. This is when Margot tells me that I am having fun and I try so hard to believe it. The campground has laundry facilities, so that was a bonus… we cringe at the thought of private campgrounds. Tomorrow we are off to Mystery State Park in MN for a 2 night stay. Way too much fun at Arrowhead….
... The Navajo Turquoise is what really stands out. (Mark can't help but gush...). The roads are a bit rough in Michigan, only so many bumps one can take, but luckily the Canadian roads are much better and we finish the day smoothly. Michigan is pretty but nothing you wouldn't see in New England. Sara wouldn't mind seeing Niagra Falls from the Canadian side since its supposedly the better view. I planned to leave by 9am but it was almost noon before I left. Loading the bike and last minute packing caused the delays. I was pleased with the way the bike was handling. I took i75 to Wapakeneta Ohio. From there I was off the super slab and on the back roads. I passed the Neil Armstrong museum . . . Neil was from Wapakeneta. I had actually been there as a kid going from Lima ...
