GG tried the raw marinade and after the steam stopped coming out of his ears and the colour returned to his face he gave it the seal of approval! John insisted that it settles down with cooking! (It did and was bloody beautiful!)
John fired up his "command centre" so GG could download several gigabytes of photos from his camera as a backup as the spare ribs barbecued away ...
... farmhouse built in 1809 and run by our delightful hostess, Donna.
Our first full day here began with a wonderful breakfast, provided by Donna, of fruit, fruit juice, bacon and as many pancakes and maple syrup as we could eat.
With full bellies we headed out with John and Penelope for a guided tour of the area starting with the farm. The farmhouse has the biggest fireplace I have ever seen looking like it is built out of some sort of boiler.

A Rockerfeller Nat'l Historical Park ( his mansion and grounds), the Billings farm, a dairy farm dating from the 1880s and the Sugarbush Farm where they make maple syrup and age co-op cheese, up to 8 years. ... Never so happy to see a traffic light and a Subway! Then we were pleasantly surprised to get a nice room at such a small motel in the night in a town somewhere on the map in New Hampshire!
