      ... by train Europe - she was very unimpressed by the train being late! Said she'd never catch a train here again! At Boston the platform was high so we just stepped straight onto the train like at home. At Springfield we had to climb down 5 steps and onto a little yellow plastic stool.       Six and 1/2 hour drive...not too bad. we stayed on the American side which is a state park. Lots of walking but we hopped a trolley cuz we got totally lost. Beautiful grounds but lots of construction going on. We were able to get real close to the falls from this side. Canadian side is more manicured and has lots of shops and restaurants. There were fireworks right outside our bedroom window that looked like they were coming right at us. ...
