    ... just wear socks. The reason I don't do this is my feet swell and then I can't get my shoes back on. I usually wear a very comfortable pair of flats that are like slippers but have some support so I can walk in them. If you have problems with swelling you might want to bring copression socks and wear them on the plane. Check with your doctor (especially if you have any leg pain before you go.)

    3:30am and we are ready to roll. We have the dogs, the bikes, and enough food to last 3 months!

    So, we were up at 2am, left Rocky Point at 3:30, and had the BEST ride out of New York ever....and I mean EVER! It took less than 10 minutes to get to the George Washington Bridge from the Cross-Bronx Expressway. For those of you unfamiliar with that nightmare of a road...it is usually faster to walk to the GW....there is always traffic. ...
