... There was a trail to get down to the bottom of the falls, which is where he proposed, but we missed the parking lot for that trail and instead headed to the overlook for the falls. It was really pretty and I don't think our pictures really do it justice. After getting some photos though we headed back to the RV to continue our way up 89 to a campground for the night.

Friday, September 30th

We got up in good time and headed out of the campground for Ithaca, NY. We saw that the Apple Harvest Festival was going on in Ithaca so we figured we would stop on by before finding a place to stay in the Finger Lakes area for the night.

Some things I already knew about America but had forgotten:
- National pride extends to the Stars and Stripes flying in practically every front yard and outside of every store
- Walmart is bogan Mecca
- Cheese in a can and grits as foodstuffs = wrong, wrong, wrong
- Getting ID'ed when buying booze is not a compliment, it's the law

Lake Seneca (en af the 5 finger lakes) var næste base. Turen dertil gik selvfølgelig lige igennem en lille 'state park' med en stor kløft og vandfald. Det var mest Cathrina der var ude af bilen, for det var stadig meget varmt. Vi havde ikke booket hotel ved søen, så vi var lige forbi en 5 moteller før vi fandt et der var godt. (et af dem vi var forbi var simpelt hen så beskidt at det var ulækkert!). Derefter brugte vi aftenen til ...
