... and currents. After getting myself and N wet, we retreated to the shore for a snack. The Lin / Wu family showed up and our little group of cute kids was complete! They brought lots of buckets and toys so we headed back to the water before long. The kids kept letting go of toys when the waves hit them, so we had to dive after them a bunch! A few of us got knocked over - Y was wise to stay clear of ...

... never changed. Wendy had the New England Clam Chowder, I had the famous double dipped beef sandwich (the beef is finely cut, then dipped in beef broth. They put it in the roll, then dip the whole roll in the broth again). Great meal, the six of us ate for $50. We went out again for tea tonight - walked 5 blocks to 44th Street to John's Pizzeria for another Bruschetta Pizza, even better than the last one. We sat in a different room this time, under a huge dome, and discovered that this had been an old Gospel Church ! Amazing ! Walking back home made well and truly enough pounding the pavements for one day.

Venturing off trail if you dare because you can easily get lost if you're not on the main loop trail. But we risked it anyway and found ourselves faced with huge trees- one that vera claimed to look like a scene from Twilight and another which reminded her of Lord of the Rings... Haha.
