      After poking around town I finally put my boat in the water. I decided to paddle Skamokawa Creek. It was windy on the Columbia and the narrow creek afforded some cover. It was tricky at times and the flow sped up occasionally and the wind would push the lite bow left and right.
      It was so good to be back in the paddle again! ...

      ... and flat tarred sites for RV's. We had a drive around the Fort Stevens State park. It’s right on the peninsula at the mouth of the Columbia River. A very cold wind blowing down the beach but not too bad away from the wind, we still have our jumpers on though. Grey bleak, overcast, skies and cold.
