My next stop was to visit the Willapa Seaport Museum. I thought I would stop by for a quick peak, but the volunteer, Virginia lured me into the museum and then wowed me with wonderful stories about each of the displays. Near the end of my visit, Virginia shared how she was persuaded to become a volunteer at the museum in 2001 and has been there once a week ever since. ...
... Now we know why. We would never have made it over with the trailer. We found later it’s a hard pull for the truck alone. We passed Astoria High School. In the river across was a PE class practicing kayaking and canoe. When people live on the water, they need to learn early. ☺
