We had started the trip to Watkins Glen from Edison in New Jersey in the morning hours of July 25th. Having set the paths on the GPS the route we decided on was through Scranton and Binghamton.
When we reached, the GPS took us to the upper entrance of the Park. The Park has three places that one can enter from, the Upper Entrance, the South Entrance and the Main Entrance.

We also checked out the stairway to the right at the end of the entrance thinking it might have some views of the lake outside the park but all we really saw was the main parking lot. Continuing on up that staircase takes you to the South Entrance parking lot. I asked a park employee what time you can see rainbows at Rainbow Falls and she said she does a tour from 2- 3:30 and had never seen one but she guessed about 4:00 on a sunny day.

... s. We loved this quaint little local's hideaway. The food was amazing, and the service outstanding. After dinner, we rode the last 45 minutes home, getting back a little after 10 o'clock. Tomorrow is a travel day from Watkin's Glen to Two Mile Run County Park in Franklin, PA. It's a short drive, only about 200 miles, but the winding country roads should make for a scenic trip.
