Driving Through North Wales
Checked out of Shrewsbury B&B at 9am and drove on the A5 towards Chirk Castle. Arrived at castle to find it didn't open until 12 noon! Took some pictures and some video then drove on to Llangollen.
Visited Plas Newydd once occupied by the Ladies of Llangollen. Took a picture of the black and white house and then moved on.

All the buildings are painted in different colours and although that could make it very twee, it isn't. There is a small harbour, surrounded by old cottages on one side and larger Georgian buildings on the other. Pretty.

Cheadle to Llanwrtyd Wells. Wales
... heating is broken so we have a tiny heater that is barely keeping us warm. All and all our first impressions not that good. There is a lovely warm room downstairs with the fire going but that is their private space. So........ Set off for a meal at the local Neuadd Arms. Very good pub with nice fireside per dinner drink.
