... huge craters left from the bombs and the cliffs where the Americans landed and climbed up them to fight the German troops. The best part of the visit for me was seeing the damage that a single bomb could do and seeing inside the bunkers and the fortifications. The view was great even for the poor weather that we had, it wasn't raining but it was cloudy and dark out. The water however was very clear.

... Tínhamos 2 opções: 1a) Ir num voo com escala em Lyon e chegar só às 21h ou 2a) Passar a noite em Rennes e ir na manhã seguinte.

Diante dos compromissos, digo, passeios agendados, optamos pela 1a opção.

Mais uma vez o cartão vermelho da mamãe funcionou muito bem. Tratamento VIP até Marseille.

We woke up only to discover that a small number of items had been left at the previous hotel. Nevertheless we proceeded with the day. A nice breakfast in the hotel, even if it was preceded with Master X throwing a tantrum and spilling a glass of milk. As they say, don't cry over... (I know, I know)
