    ... something I'd not had before and something totally American. So biscuits and gravy it was. So the biscuits are basically a savoury scone and the gravy is kind of like a cheesy white sauce.     ... has had two subsequent owners, and is now also a conference and event centre. The experience of visiting the Ranch was actually very enjoyable especially so as Sally, our excellent guide, educated and amused our small group with her insights and knowledge.     We started our day in Fort Worth at a nature reserve. We parked up at the visitors centre and started with a 1 mile walk. We immediately came across a couple of large spiders and heaps of different coloured dragonflies. Sam wasn't keen on the walk after seeing the spiders and knowing there might be snakes around.     Well 151/2 hours later - arrived at Dallas/FortWorth airport and was met by John Lawson from Maverick HD who had a special sign made up to greet me (see it on the front of some of the bike pics). Note: I was a Very Important Biker (VIB).

    As for lodging there is a Hyatt Place in Fort Worth. ( en/hotel/home.html) There is also a Hyatt Regency in Dallas, which is very similar.
