... tornadoes but still the possibility of storms. As such, we will stay snug and dry in our little boat home at our cute marina. We might even explore and certainly we will visit with our new friends who will be traveling with us down the Tom-Bigbee. As I write, Capt. Bart is puttering around as usual. I intend to do laundry, read a book and then plot our course for tomorrow. Naturally, we are hoping for warm sunny skies, smooth cruising and not too many barges.

... floats the boat as the water rises. Different locks raise to different levels. The Bevill locks at Aliceville, AL raised Perla 27 ft. I think Joe said there are a total of 21 locks that Perla will have to go through on it's way ...

Same as yesterday, things went well until turbulence caused the intake valve to shut off and therefore the temperature of the engine to rise. But at least now they are old pros at knowing what to do.
