... ranch
with horses; our photography speaks for itself about how amazing that was. I
told Kelsey, “This is one of the most amazing experiences of my life”. That
evening included a camp fire, bottle of red zinfandel, and spaghetti dinner.
Didn’t feel much like roughing it in the Rocky’s, even though we were in the
middle of a Canyon, on a white water river, miles away from civilization.

January means cold weather in Colorado, so it is time for us to escape and head south. We are leaving for Ecuador tomorrow. We will be spending 5 days in the Galapagos Islands, the primary lab for Darwin's Origin of Species, published 150 years ago this year. We'll be based on a 40-person boat, visiting islands each day, hiking, snorkeling and observing ...

... for writing wonderful letters of recommendation. There is no way I could have done it without you.

I have now turned in all of the required paperwork, which is a lot I might add. Now all that is left is to wait for the day when I get on a plane and fly to Germany! I will be there from March 1st until the end of July.I probably won’t have a post for a while, because nothing will really be happening.
