Alexandria Bay is stunningly beautiful! There are over 1800 different islands here with homes on them. Half of the St. Lawrence River is in US waters, the other half is in Canadian waters.
The tour we took started on the US side and took us all up and down both sides of the river.
Some of the homes here are small cottages while others are huge and grand. The most famous is ...

Back to good ole Grenadier Island........

I love this Island. I have fond memories of spending time on this Island with my Mom and Dad.... from fishing off a dock to picking raspberries and black caps to swimming and hiking on the Island - I really enjoyed my time on this Island as a kid. I am glad that Joanne and Fiona are now able to enjoy this beautiful Island with me.

Only problem today - there were plenty of mosquitos on the ...

    And Then There Were Two!

... other items useful to induce a sugar coma. We survived though and had a good ole chuckle at some of the odd bods walking around. We will be back and hopefully more, or maybe the trick is less?, prepared. Kingston served its purpose as we had time to get our car checked out and fixed after it's gruelling three weeks and had ourselves a bit of time off from travelling every day. Being this close to the states means only a few more K's on the road in Canada. USA here we come! ...
