... kind of forget the day and the date. Sorry Bud – we still love you and hope your golf game today was better than your father’s, it could not get any worst.

We had some rain last night (which is needed) and when we woke up this morning the mountains were covered with mist and some fog and only 60 degrees. The winds had died down so we decided since we only had to drive about 32 miles today to hike the Romero ...

... pools of water. One of the main large pools is a great spot to stop, have a swim in the very clear greenish-blue water. Keep going past this swimming hole about 200 yards to find the entrance of the falls that flows into another swimmng spot. The water is beautiful, and a bit chilly for me. But there was a small family there and the kids did not seem to mind it. I met some nice people while I was there. A local girl name Sara guided me ...

... NP was a good substitute for Chaco. We stayed in Flagstaff overnight. It is a fine little town (about 60K people) with lots of character. There is a lot to do and see there. We visited the nearby meteor crater (just what its name implies), the Walnut Canyon National Monument and the Riordan mansion in town (where we met a Thomas Jefferson HS and 2006 JMU grad working) before heading up to the Grand Canyon for three ...
