... kind of forget the day and the date. Sorry Bud – we still love you and hope your golf game today was better than your father’s, it could not get any worst.

We had some rain last night (which is needed) and when we woke up this morning the mountains were covered with mist and some fog and only 60 degrees. The winds had died down so we decided since we only had to drive about 32 miles today to hike the Romero ...

... 26 sites and it's $7 a night with no amenities except a basic toilet and water. It was difficult to find, since there's no sign on the highway. It's on the road to Willow Springs Lake. Let me know how it works.

With internet again, I hope to see y'all tomorrow.

Neither of these women were at all helpful and seemed irritated that I had asked. Sheesh!

I drove on anyway. I passed through ...

... pools of water. One of the main large pools is a great spot to stop, have a swim in the very clear greenish-blue water. Keep going past this swimming hole about 200 yards to find the entrance of the falls that flows into another swimmng spot. The water is beautiful, and a bit chilly for me. But there was a small family there and the kids did not seem to mind it. I met some nice people while I was there. A local girl name Sara guided me ...

Arizona Highways

... explored the south rim trail the first day there and watched the Super Bowl in our room. We "enjoyed" the mule ride down into the canyon the next day. The ride takes most of the day (about 8 hours) and has a few "oh #$%^" moments on the way down and up that keep it rather interesting, you just have to look away from the edge from time to time. We faired better than the hikers on the slippery trail, but riding ...
