Had a much easier slower day today. Caught Metro into Judiciary Square station to take a look at another Memorial. This time the National Law Enforcement Memorial as suggested by my new buddy Officer Robert Fennell Jr. This guy has been so helpful and friendly took Bill out for a couple of beers after his shift finished at 10pm Friday night. Has given us quite a few mementos and even wanted to get us an after hours tour to the top of the Washington Monument. ...

The drive to DC was very scenic, and when we arrived at the very nice campsite we had a tent race to see who could get them up quickest! We were joint second with the winners been the girls who had done 6 weeks of it. It was the last time we'd assemble the tents as a group, as we stayed here 2 nights. ... visited a little of the war exhibit and we ventured briefly into the Culture and Food one (Craig only did because my eyes almost popped out of my head at the thought of seeing Julia Child’s kitchen) and we also saw the Pop culture exhibit so I could get a picture with Dorothy’s original Ruby Slippers. Hi all, we have had a wonderful Christmas Day. We Got up and opened lots of presents. The Kids were spoilt rotten. Then we went off to a 3 course meal at Maria,s Mum and Dads.
