... the day with an AWESOME breakfast at a Diner, and we all had an ENORMOUS stack of pancakes each (i won't mention how much it was!). Halfway thru the meal, Naomi Watts (from King Kong/ The Ring) sat down next to us!! Crazy! After that we went to Central Park to the Zoo! Unlike what Madagascar tells you, there is no Lions, Giraffes, Hippos or Zebras, but there was Polar Bears, Penguins, Baby Monkeys, Red Pandas and AWESOME Sealions! We watched the penguins being fed, and the ...

... We grabbed seats on the port side of the boat (that's left) because this is where we would be viewing the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This was our only planned interaction with the old girl and we were a little worried because of the fog.

The girls seemed to be having a "hey look kids, there's Big Ben, and there's Parliment" moment with the parents because we kept forcing them to stand at the rail ...

... whether Amy was more interested in going to South Africa or at the possibility of increasing her wardrobe. But after a trip to the travel clinic to get Hep A shots and a jar full of malaria medicine, we were all set for a "lifetime of memories."

TRAVEL INTRO

So I've been travelling for about 3 months now, so I'm overdue for posting some pics and info on the trips so far. So hope you like the pics that i post and if you feel like a read, I've put up a few notes on some places I've been.

Guiderne har alle en eller anden personlig tilknytning til den 11. september, som de bl.a. fortalte om; vores ene guide var som ambulancefřrer blevet kaldt til Ground Zero d. 11/9 om morgenen (han havde desuden mistet et familiemedlem, der havde arbejdede som brandmand), mens den anden guide som nřdhjćlpsarbejder havde vćret pĺ pladsen fra 12/9 og 8 mĺneder frem. ... South Street Seaport districts. We only saw "Ground Zero" from a distance and will try to go back there. We had a very nice dinner with David and Kylie at a Japanese restaurant (Megu) in Tribeca (a district name short for TRIangle BElow CAnal Street)

Oh, I was almost forgetting the guided tour...It turned out to be too short, badly presented, and the certain parts of the UN buildings smelled of cheap food.
