... Mt St. Helens on the way down. One can see that St. Helens has its cone blow off, leaving a large crater. These two mountains are easy to spot as they stand on their own. Got back to Portland at 9:30am. Glad to be back. It was a long journey, especially the drive. I don't think I would want to be doing this road trip again. It can get quite tiring. Sleepless in Seattle

Elliot paddling! It was a great place to eat lunch surrounded by lots of birds
on the Lake. We walked back via the Burke Gilman Trail, along
the way we saw 'The Fremont troll’ -- a big, fearsome, car-crushing troll
that lives under Fremont Bridge. It was a good area with a quirky edge.

  • Today Howard and I went our separate ways. I did the Seattle Public Library and the Seattle Art Museum. Howard went to the Boeing factory tour and the Museum of flight. We both had fabulous a fabulous day.
