After doing a few hours work at the sanctuary Matt and I were told to head off and enjoy the very beautiful sunny day and go exploring! We had arrived quite early, so our rooms wouldn't be ready for a while, so we wandered about trying to get our bearings. It's just like a castle. Lots of twisting and turning passages, and up stairs, then down stairs, ...

After a stop at the Icefield's Chateau for hot drinks we decided against a trip onto the Glacier given the conditions. The weather was lifting slightly but not enough.
